Bonnie grew up in Klamath Falls, Oregon and attended Oregon Institute of Technology and obtained a degree in Radiologic Technology in 1977.

After completing school, she moved to Eugene with her husband Jim, and starting working for Sacred Heart Hospital as an X-Ray Technologist. She worked at Sacred Heart until 2010 and continued working part-time with Pain Consultants until retirement in 2014.

After moving to Eugene, she and Jim became very active in the local car club, Emerald Empire Sports Car Club. She participated in autocross, rallying, and founded Larison Rock Hillclimb in 1988, which continues to this day. At one time she was president of the club, and is today the Registrar of autocross.

In the late 70's she along with Jim began road racing with the Sports Car Club of America, becoming a licensed amateur road racer. They traveled to many tracks to follow the sport. In the mid 80's she focused on local autocross and rallys and traveled to many northwest hillclimbs.

She became active again with SCCA in the 90's, this time just autocrossing. They began traveling to events all across the country, competing in the National Championships in Topeka, Kansas and now Lincoln, Nebraska.

Bonnie was the chairman of the Larison Rock Hillclimb from 1988-2017 and continues to work to make the event the best of the NHA series.

Bonnie enjoys all Duck sports, especially women's basketball. She and Jim travel around to support their teams.
