Tim graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in 1975 with a major in Business System Analysis and a minor in Accounting.  He's been married to a wonderful wife since 2003, and has lived in Pennsylvania for 27 years, California for 14 years and now is living in Oregon since 1994.

He started his company, TBS Consultants, in 1984 as sole proprietor which became an LLC in 2006 and has been a Corporation (Steck Enterprises, Inc. / dba TBS Consultants) since 2008. His wife became vice-president and co-owner in 2010.

TBS Consultants was founded in 1984 as a mainframe and data processor consulting firm, and has grown the business with the times. Services now include network design, creation, and management, managed services, hardware and software, servers (physical and virtual) and workstations, email hosting, email security and encryption, Office 365, network security, and more. He provides the tools for clients to become self-sustaining with information technology, while simultaneously providing direct support and solutions to any questions they may have.

In 1994 he started autocrossing, and since 2001 has been a Class Champion every year since.

Tim has raced in many events along with his wife in Oregon, as well as outside of EESCC in California, Washington, and Idaho. He's also participated in SCCA Regional level Solo and Solo II events.

Started doing hill climbs in 1995 and has set many records in different classes since that time with at least 4 that are still standing.
