Most of his life Bruce was involved in racing something, starting with go carts in 1959-62, motocross in the late 60s, then bicycles on and off over 40 years. He began Autocross as a hobby in 1998, with the Oregon Region SCCA, dropping bicycle racing in 2002. In 2006, he moved to Corvallis and joined EESCC. Currently he runs a C-Street Fiat 124 Spider. Former autocross cars were an ‘89 Corvette, a Ford Focus and a Pontiac Solstice.

Bruce and his wife, Maria, live in Corvallis, Oregon. (She is also a car lover but not racer who now drives a Mercedes SL) He has two children; a daughter in Tigard, Oregon and a married son and two grandchildren in Culver City, CA. Bruce sees the benefits of Autocross as an excellent way to learn car handling skills and promote safe driving on the street by getting all that fun with speed out of his system on the autocross course.
